Presented in the form of a timeline the Internet Ancient History Sourcebook: Mesopotamia, provides primary source material available online. Material relates to ancient Babylon, Sumer, Hittites, Assyrians and the civilization that developed between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.

The Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago has devised this rich website to allow students to examine its artefacts and use the teacher-developed questions to drive individual research or classroom discussions. Topics include: life in Mesopotamia (or Babylon), archaeology, prehistory, first farmers, first cities, daily life, religion, role of women, invention of writing, literature, law and government, mathematics and measurement, science and inventions, art and architecture and warfare and empire.
