National History ChallengeThe National History Challenge is a research-based competition for students. It gives students a chance to be an historian, researching world history, examining Australia’s past, investigating their community or exploring their own roots. It emphasises and rewards quality research, the use of community resources and effective presentation.
The Simpson PrizeThe Simpson Prize is a national competition for Year 9 and 10 students. The competition encourages participants to explore the significance of the Anzac experience and what it has meant for Australia. Eight winners are chosen from each State and Territory with the opportunity to visit overseas battlefields and participate in Anzac Day commemorations.

Techgirls competitionThe annual Techgirls competition, (previously named the Search for the Next Tech Girl Superhero competition) began with 16 students in 2014, and it has grown to up to 1000 students per year. We have engaged more than 10,000 girls in our hands-on program over six years. From 2020, the program will be known more simply as the Techgirls Competition as we launch into our 7th year.
Australian STEM Video Game ChallengeFacilitating engagement with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, students learn vital skills for the future through designing, building and testing an original video game.

Wombat Books Illustration ChallengeWe're seeking original illustrations from Australian school-aged students (aged 5 - 18) to publish in a unique picture book by the team at Wombat Books.
The Challenge has been established in order to provide aspiring young illustrators with the opportunity to be published in a professionally produced children's book and gain an introduction into the world of illustrating.
Winning illustrations will be published in a new book which is due for release in 2021. Illustrators will receive two free copies of the book. They will be acknowledged on the Wombat Books website and social media.
